This Pinot Noir, made entirely from grapes grown on our estate vineyard in the Sta Rita Hills, ‘Pali Vineyard,’ represents the pinnacle of our winemaking . With complete control over the farming and harvesting of the grapes, this vineyard-designated wine is made with utmost attention to detail and meticulous standards. Our vineyard, organically farmed and SIP (Sustainability in Practice) Certified, is situated in the north westernmost corner of the Sta. Rita Hills atop sandy soils, exposing it to maximum ocean influence. This results in vines that ripen slowly, allowing an
extended growing season to develop riper characteristics without compromising acidity.

‘Pali Vineyard’ comprises 14 different Pinot Noir blocks, planted with 7 different clones of the variety. Each block is distinct, with slightly different orientation, gradation, and soil composition, thus suited to produce varied expressions of Pinot Noir. Our estate varietals are always crafted from our lowest-yielding, highest quality blocks. The 2021 vintage is comprised of Clone 667, Pommard, 2A, and 115. Each clone is hand-har vested separately, then fermented and aged individually before assessed and ultimately blended together to create this perfectly balanced estate grown Pinot Noir.

All of our vineyard designated wines express the nuanced characteristics discovered on remarkably unique and excellent vineyards.
