Our Fumé Blanc is made entirely from Sauvignon Blanc grown along California’s Central Coast, with equal parts sourced from Vogelzang Vineyard and Rancho Arroyo Grande Vineyard. A richer expression popularized in the 1990s, where oak aging adds texture, depth, and subtle notes of vanilla and toast.
The grapes were whole-cluster pressed and fermented separately in barrels at cool temperatures with native yeast. The wine underwent natural malolactic conversion before aging for eight months in 50% new and 50% neutral French oak, then bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfites.
Brilliant pale yellow in the glass, this Fumé Blanc opens with Asian pear, vanilla bean, orange blossom, and lemon zest. Fresh mango and mandarin orange lead the palate, layered with Marcona almond, toasty oak, and coconut. Bright citrus brings freshness and balance through a clean, elegant finish.
