Tower 15, 2019 Grenache

About The Wine

Our Tower 15, 2019 Grenache boasts balanced tannins, medium acidity and plush berries, making it a crowd pleaser. Grenache is one of the lighter red wine grapes we work with. Big clusters and relatively light skins create an aromatic red wine, similar to Pinot Noir, perfect when paired with food. The grapes for this limited-quantity vintage are sourced from Jorian Hill Vineyard, located in the Ballard Canyon AVA in the Santa Ynez Valley region. All grapes are hand sorted before fermented in small lots and aged in 20% new French oak barrels and 80% neutral French oak barrels before bottled. The majority of our Grenache was added to our 'Jetty' blend, leaving only a limited amount for this single varietal bottling.

The AVA

The California Central Coast includes the coastal land between Ventura County and Monterey County. This region has achieved global renown because of its abundant microclimates and enormous coastal influence.

Winemaker Notes

Light ruby in the glass, with light red fruit and tight cherry aromatics. This grenache is extremely pleasant and pretty, showing red raspberry, wet slate, wildflowers and herbs like thyme and borage.
