About The Wine
Spooky Juice is inspired by the warm, autumn Santa Ana winds and the crispy fall leaves that swirl around in their blow. It's made from the classic Rhône Valley union of Marsanne and Roussanne, which together form an impeccably balanced white wine. Marsanne makes a structured, full-bodied wine with a waxy, minerally texture, and Roussanne provides an aromatic and high-acid component. We co-harvested and co-fermented the two grapes for a more natural combination of their qualities.
Spooky Juice aged for 300 days in neutral French oak barrels.
The AVA
The sub-AVA of the Santa Ynez Valley, the Los Olivos District AVA is a broad alluvial terrace between the Purisima Hills above Solvang and the western flank of Happy Canyon. The terrain slopes gently, with a moderate climate marked by warm days with occasional morning fog and cool nights.
Winemaker Notes
The color is pale-yellow with golden shine. Notes of citrus and melon with a noticable textured mouthfeel.
