About The Wine
Our 'Jetty' is a red wine blend made each year, inspired by the red wine blends famously produced in the Rhône Valley in France–specifically the Southern Rhône in regions like Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Depending on each harvest and growing season, the exact composition of our blend changes, but it is always built on a foundation of Grenache and Syrah. Each grape variety was fermented and aged separately in small lots before blended together. This blend was aged in 20% new French oak barrels and 80% neutral French oak barrels for 540 days.
The AVA
The California Central Coast includes the coastal land between Ventura County and Monterey County. This region has achieved global renown because of its abundant microclimates and enormous coastal influence.
Winemaker Notes
Plum, dried strawberry, rocky earth, nutmeg and fennel make for a brilliantly complex nose. The palate shows plump candied plum flavor and a healthy dose of baking spice, with tannins and acidity in expert balance.
